In today's world of acronyms there are many definitions of "ASP". However, in this instance ASP refers to Application Service Provider. This describes a phenomenon that results from the Internet where a company such as Flying W Software, Inc. provides an application completely via Internet access.

• Satisfies Storage and Security Requirements - All information is kept in a secure system at a remote location from your office. This automatically satisfies off-site storage, security, and backup requirements. All data is backed up to a third location regularly.
• Secure Anywhere Access - All communication is done through industry leading encryption available only in the United States due to the depth of the encryption cipher. All data is stored in an encrypted database behind a secure firewall and the database is not accessible from any internet connection.
• Disaster Recovery - In the unfortunate event your practice encounters a disaster such as fire or flood, all Med-Sys Web services continue to be available without any information loss or interruption of service. Armed with only a laptop computer and an Internet connection, office operations can continue.

Flying W Software, Inc. has made the commitment to require absolutely no software installations to use our Web-BLIS (Web Based Logical Information System). Due to differences in web-browsers, we do require that Internet Explorer 5 or above be used.

We use the latest in security technologies and practices to ensure that not only all communications with the Med-Sys Web server are secure, but also that all information stored on the server is secure.

• Communications are encrypted using SSL (Secure Socket Layer).
• Application access is secured using challenge/validate passwords.
• Communication between the application and database is encrypted.
• Database login information is different from User Name/Password combinations and never leaves the server.
• The actual data stored in the database is encrypted using a custom process.
• Authorized users have access only to the level of information you decide to give them.
• And finally, you decide where authorized users can access the system.

Med-Sys Web is a web service. To start using Med-Sys Web, simply sign-up through the Trial Setup page. This will create an account for your practice. Once you login to the application, select the Company Information page and enter your billing information. Thirty days after your account creation you will be charged based on the number of physicians in your practice.

There is a monthly fee for use of Med-Sys Web. This cost is based on the maximum number of billing entities in your practice for that month. See the Med-Sys Web Services page for the pricing schedule.
